| Description |
| Obvious reddish-purple bruising appears on the customer's wearing site. |
①Possible Causes
- Medications: Some anticoagulant/blood-thinning medications may cause bruising, such as aspirin and heparin.
- It cannot be ruled out that bruising may occur due to damage to capillaries during wear; generally, it will recover on its own after some time.
- It may be due to impact during wearing or prolonged pressure, such as unconsciously pressing during sleep, leading to bleeding of capillaries under the skin at the edge of the sensor, resulting in bruising. Generally, it will recover on its own after some time.
- Vitamin deficiency (such as vitamin C or K) may also have a certain probability of causing this condition; symptoms of vitamin deficiency include insufficient sleep, poor mental state, loss of appetite, weight loss, weakness, and other symptoms.
② Explaining the reason and giving a suggestion
Script:
Thank you for reaching out. While bruising is uncommon, it may occur in a small number of cases after applying the CGM sensor. Below are some possible reasons and suggestions to help you better understand and manage the situation.
Possible causes:
- Medications – If you are taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or heparin, they may slightly increase the risk of bruising. This is generally not a cause for concern. Applying a warm compress may help relieve symptoms.
- Minor capillary damage during application – Occasionally, small blood vessels under the skin may be affected during sensor application, resulting in mild bruising. This usually resolves on its own within a few days.
- External pressure or impact – Bruising can also occur if the sensor area is accidentally bumped or subjected to pressure – for example, if you unknowingly lie on it during sleep. This may cause slight bleeding under the skin near the sensor and is usually temporary, improving on its own over time.
- Vitamin deficiency – In rare cases, easy bruising may be related to a lack of certain vitamins (such as vitamin C or K). Signs may include fatigue, poor sleep, low appetite, or general weakness.
What you can do:
Please try to avoid applying further pressure or friction to the bruised area. While bruising is usually mild and resolves on its own, if it does not improve or worsens over time, we recommend seeking medical advice promptly.
