Response Content

The GS1 sensor can use either the phone or SiWatch as the direct connection device.

When SiWatch is directly connected to the sensor, SiWatch receives real-time glucose data through Bluetooth. The phone can still display glucose data received through the cloud.

Switch from SiWatch to Phone Direct Connection

To switch the sensor connection from SiWatch back to the phone:

1. Open the GS1 App on the phone.
2. Tap the Watch icon on the home screen, or go to Profile > SiWatch.
3. Open the connection switch option.
4. Select Connect with phone.
5. Tap Confirm.
6. If a confirmation prompt appears on SiWatch, confirm the switch on the watch.

The sensor will disconnect from SiWatch and the phone will begin searching for and reconnecting to the sensor.

After the switch, the phone becomes the direct connection device.

Switch from Phone to SiWatch Direct Connection

Before switching, make sure SiWatch:

• Is connected to the internet.
• Is logged in to the same SIBIONICS account.

Then:

1. Open the GS1 App on the phone.
2. Tap the Watch icon or go to Profile > SiWatch.
3. Open the connection switch option.
4. Select Connect with SiWatch.
5. Follow the confirmation prompts on the phone and SiWatch if shown.

After the switch, SiWatch becomes the direct connection device and receives glucose data from the sensor through Bluetooth.

With supported newer app versions, a sensor already connected to the phone may automatically connect to SiWatch after SiWatch logs in to the same account.

Important

The phone and SiWatch do not both maintain a direct Bluetooth connection to the sensor at the same time.

When SiWatch is the direct connection device, glucose data can still be viewed on the phone through the following data path:

GS1 Sensor → Bluetooth → SiWatch → Internet → Cloud → Phone App
